I've been dabbling in some new styles and art mediums lately.
I tried
crackle paste a couple weeks ago, and it was simply amazing. I have already started another piece with it. It's a very touchy medium, and quite unpredictable; so I have to plan my painting with room for revisions if things don't turn out quite as planned. I adore the texture that I get though. Here's the piece:

I've also uploaded a botanical-based watercolor piece. I did this quite awhile ago, but just didn't get around to sharing it. I really like the organic shapes of flowers - especially orchids. They have a very simple petal structure (when compared to more complicated ones, like roses)and are still very beautiful and memorizing. It appealed to me, and so I had to paint it:
